Old Towne Orange

Old Towne Orange reúne los atractivos que a cualquier turista le pueden interesar. Es un lugar histórico en el que un buen número de establecimientos comerciales se han construido alrededor de una plazoleta. Es el perfecto lugar para recorrer a pie, que hoy te invito a conocer aunque sea virtualmente.
– Historia: Desde 1997 ha quedado incluido en el Registro Nacional de Lugares históricos, por poseer los edificios más antiguos del condado de Orange. Recorrer sus calles, es como retroceder en el tiempo, por la gran cantidad de negocios que conservan las fachadas originales. Son casi 3 km² de extensión, que lo han llevado a ser catalogado como el distrito histórico mas grande de California.
– Compras: Para quienes gustan y coleccionan objetos antiguos, Old Towne Orange es el lugar ideal. Su directorio de boutiques “vintage” incluye artículos para la casa, ropa, accesorios, muebles y hasta un paraíso para quienes coleccionan discos de vinilo. Debido a esta enorme oferta, a Old Towne Orange se le conoce también como “La capital de antiguedades en el sur de Califonia”.
– Restaurantes: En esto sí, que me quedo sin palabras. Aquí podemos encontrar negocios de comida cubana, italiana, francesa, mexicana…sin olvidar los restaurantes de comida norteamericana y pequeños “diners”. Como recomendado puedo enunciar a Bruxie, donde puedes consumir sandwiches y hamburguesas que en lugar de pan, vienen con deliciosos waffles. Suena bien, ¿verdad?
La estación del Metrolink queda a solo unos pasos del corazón de Old Towne Orange y la mejor manera de encontrar este maravilloso sector, es llegando a su plazoleta: 134 S Glassell St, Orange, CA 92866.
